LUMONZA LLC – SHIPPING, PACKAGING, SECOND-HAND & AUCTION POLICY

Purpose

This policy outlines Lumonza LLC’s procedures, protections, and compliance obligations for all items shipped, purchased, or submitted for auction. It ensures transparency, accountability, and full adherence to New York State laws governing second-hand dealers and auction operations.

1. SECOND-HAND BUYER COMPLIANCE

Lumonza LLC operates as a licensed second-hand buyer in the State of New York.

In compliance with New York State law, Lumonza LLC requires every seller or vendor to provide a valid, government-issued photo ID at the time of sale or consignment. Copies of identification and detailed item information are securely retained for 15 days, as required for all purchased items.

Key Requirements:

  • All sellers must upload a clear image of their valid state ID or passport during submission.

  • Items under buy-back or purchase agreements will remain in secure storage for a minimum of 15 days before resale or redistribution.

  • This retention period ensures compliance with theft-prevention regulations and law enforcement verification procedures.

2. SHIPPING LABEL & PACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS

Once an item is submitted for purchase or auction, Lumonza LLC will issue a prepaid insured shipping label. Each shipment includes a written guide on how to package the item safely.

Packaging Requirements:

  • Use a sturdy, sealed box with proper protective padding.

  • Jewelry and high-value goods must be placed in tamper-proof bags or containers.

  • Do not use packaging with brand names or high-value indicators on the outside.

  • Failure to follow packaging and labeling guidelines may void insurance coverage.

3. SHIPPING INSURANCE COVERAGE

All items shipped using Lumonza-issued labels are coverage-protected through our verified logistics partner. This insurance includes protection against loss, theft, or damage during transit.

Important:
Insurance applies only to shipments made with Lumonza-provided labels and instructions. Items shipped independently or through other carriers are not covered.

4. VERIFICATION & PAYMENT

When items arrive, they undergo full verification and appraisal to confirm authenticity and condition.

For Direct Purchases:

  • If the item matches the description, payment is issued immediately after verification.

For Auction Submissions:

  • The item is cataloged and scheduled for the next available live auction.

  • If discrepancies are found, the seller will be contacted with an updated offer or return options.

5. RETURN OR PICKUP POLICY

If a seller declines Lumonza’s offer or wishes to retrieve an item:

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the seller.

  • Items may also be picked up in person at Lumonza’s headquarters on 47th Street, Manhattan, NY (exact address forthcoming).

  • Items unclaimed for over 60 days after notification may incur storage fees or be subject to forfeiture under New York State regulations.

6. AUCTION HOLDING & 15-DAY COMPLIANCE PERIOD

To comply with New York State second-hand dealer regulations, Lumonza enforces a 15-day holding period for all received items before public auction listing.

Important Auction Terms:

  • Direct-purchase items are paid out immediately after verification.

  • Auction items are listed after the required 15-day hold period.

  • Sellers receive payment within 15 days after the auction sale date for settlement and fund release.

  • A waiting queue may apply due to high demand and compliance timelines.

This process ensures legality, fairness, and Lumonza’s commitment to transparency and trust.

7. LEGAL DISCLAIMER & ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By using Lumonza LLC’s purchase, shipping, or auction services, all participants acknowledge and accept this policy in full. Lumonza complies with all New York State and Federal regulations related to:

  • Second-hand dealing

  • Consumer protection

  • Anti-fraud enforcement

All transactions are logged, monitored, and subject to verification under applicable laws.
